United Way of Tuscarawas County, Inc. is an independently-governed 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization located in New Philadelphia, Ohio.  Although we are connected to a network of more than 1,400 local United Ways through United Way Worldwide, we have our own board of directors and financially support only health and human service programs serving the Tuscarawas County area.

Sarah Spies

President and CEO

Sarah Spies joined the United Way of Tuscarawas County in June of 2024. Prior to joining the United Way, Sarah served as the Programming and Communications Coordinator for the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center. She is a lifelong resident of Tuscarawas County and currently lives in New Philadelphia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Kent State University and Master of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Michigan. Outside of work, Sarah is involved with the Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County, Tuscarawas Arts Partnership, and the Tuscarawas Philharmonic.

SUSAN REIDENBACH

Director of Community Engagement

Susan Reidenbach joined the United Way of Tuscarawas County staff in May 2016. She has served United Way of Tuscarawas County as an event volunteer and campaign solicitor. Prior to joining the United Way, she held management positions in the local hospitality and media industries. Susan is a Western Pennsylvania native, Grove City College graduate, and a 20+ year New Philadelphia resident.
