The United Way of Tuscarawas County along with our corporate sponsor the DoverPhila Federal Credit Union want to invite area runners and walkers to participate in their 15th Rock-N-Run 5K Run/Walk Saturday, August 17, 2024
Race day registration for the 5K Run/Walk begins at 5:45pm for those not pre-registered. It will be held at the DoverPhila Federal Credit Union: 119 Fillmore Avenue, Dover. The race begins at 6:30pm, followed by an awards ceremony, food, adult beverage and entertainment. In order to guarantee a dri-fit race shirt, registration must be received by July 31, 2024
United Way of Tuscarawas County, Inc is partnering with Harcatus Head Start to help local preschool students be prepared for the first day of school. We will have volunteers and a school bus at New Philadelphia Walmart on Fri., Aug., 2nd & Sat., Aug 3rd 10am-4pm accepting donations of needed school and classroom supplies. Suggested items include Pull- Ups, Kleenex, Washable Markers, Crayons, Glue and Large Glue Sticks to list a few.
Join co-workers and community members for a day of volunteering in the community on our Day of Caring. Plans include Spring-Up at area historic sites and non-profit organizations. Help us make our community a better place by donating sweat equity! Projects will include raking, mulching, cleaning, painting and much more.

There will be dozens of trucks and vehicles that kids can crawl up in and see up close, activities from local non-profit organizations, dunk tank, bouncy houses, food trucks, prizes, and more! Activities are free and open to the public.
Also, register to compete in the ultimate man vs. machine challenge! Teams of up to 6 adults can enter to pull an 8 ton truck. A children’s division will also be available.

Dover and New Philadelphia student representatives have teamed up with the United Way of Tuscarawas County to raise funds for our community with a new event called Rivals United. Activities will kick off on Saturday, February 2nd at the Dover vs. New Philadelphia girl’s basketball game. Students from both schools will hold various fundraising activities during the week leading up to the boy’s game on Friday, February 8th. This is a friendly fundraising competition to see which school can collect the most donations for the United Way of Tuscarawas County and receive bragging rights for the year.
